Position : Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Chandler Arizona (100% Onsite)
Duration : 6 Months + Contract

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

About the Role

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support mission-critical development efforts for advanced aerospace and defense systems. This role involves hands-on real-time embedded software development, system integration, and close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.

This is a fully onsite position at our Chandler, AZ facility and offers an excellent opportunity for engineers who are passionate about innovation, high-reliability software, and solving complex technical challenges in a safety-critical environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including:
  • Requirements development
  • Software architecture and detailed design
  • Coding in C/C++
  • Unit testing
  • Integration and test of real-time embedded software
• Develop, debug, and maintain real-time embedded applications
• Ensure compliance with established software standards, processes, and best practices
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware, systems, and test engineering
• Contribute to system integration and verification activities for mission-critical platforms

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with object-oriented C/C++ development on Linux
• Experience developing, debugging, and testing real-time embedded software
• Hands-on experience with RTOS environments such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or similar
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Active DoD Secret clearance (granted or renewed within the last 5 years)
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PowerPC, ARM, or RISC-V architectures
• Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Real-Time Computer-in-the-Loop (CIL) integration environments
