Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Manage a full caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution.
- Handle cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and other family law issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, court hearings, and trials.
- Provide strategic legal counsel while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Work independently while collaborating with the firm's owner on case strategy as needed.
- Ensure timely case management and maintain high professional standards.
Experience you will need:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
- 3–5 years of experience practicing family law.
- Ability to independently manage cases with minimal supervision.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship management abilities.
