Job DescriptionDirect Counsel is seeking a Trade Remedies Associate Attorney to join a leading national law firm.

About the Role
Direct Counsel is partnering with a highly respected firm to recruit an experienced Trade Remedies Associate Attorney for its growing Government & Regulatory Affairs practice. The position may sit in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, or New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle complex antidumping and countervailing duty matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

  • Build and manage administrative records and develop legal arguments in investigations and reviews.

  • Represent clients in litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

  • Advise clients on policy matters before the Executive Branch and Congress.

  • Provide guidance on trade issues and compliance involving Section 232, Section 301, and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade remedies work, either in private practice or government.

  • Direct experience with antidumping/countervailing duty proceedings required.

  • Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Work Structure
The firm maintains a hybrid schedule, asking attorneys to work in-office three days per week to support collaboration and client service while preserving flexibility and work-life balance.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $235,000–$300,000, depending on experience, office location, and other job-related factors. The firm also offers a comprehensive compensation package, including bonuses, health and disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan.
