About the Role
Direct Counsel is partnering with a highly respected firm to recruit an experienced Trade Remedies Associate Attorney for its growing Government & Regulatory Affairs practice. The position may sit in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, or New York.
Key Responsibilities

Handle complex antidumping and countervailing duty matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Build and manage administrative records and develop legal arguments in investigations and reviews.

Represent clients in litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Advise clients on policy matters before the Executive Branch and Congress.

Provide guidance on trade issues and compliance involving Section 232, Section 301, and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade remedies work, either in private practice or government.

Direct experience with antidumping/countervailing duty proceedings required.

Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Work Structure
The firm maintains a hybrid schedule, asking attorneys to work in-office three days per week to support collaboration and client service while preserving flexibility and work-life balance.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $235,000–$300,000, depending on experience, office location, and other job-related factors. The firm also offers a comprehensive compensation package, including bonuses, health and disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan.
