We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to the attorney by managing administrative tasks, assisting with document preparation, and interacting with clients. Your professionalism and organizational skills will help the firm to deliver exceptional and timely service to its clients. We are willing to train the right candidate who is ready, willing, and able to learn and commit to our practice.
Our practice is largely transactional in nature with some litigation, mostly small claims. Our primary practice areas are real estate, business, and estate planning.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as pleadings and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage filing systems both physically and electronically, ensuring all documents are organized, accessible, and compliant with confidentiality standards.
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and assisting clients or visitors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of case files, correspondence, and legal documentation to ensure seamless workflow continuity.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Administrative experience with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Relevant legal administrative background is highly desirable.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear, concise legal documents and correspondence.
- Willingness to learn on the job.
