Job Description

Estate Planning & Tax Partner

Robert Half has partnered with a highly respected regional law firm that is actively seeking to grow its Private Wealth and Tax practice with the addition of an Estate Planning & Tax Partner. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned attorney with a strong background in estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning to join a firm that values collegiality, long-term client relationships, and practice autonomy. The firm is a long-standing Rocky Mountain law firm with a diverse and dynamic practice.

The firm is known for its deep client relationships, entrepreneurial culture, and high-caliber legal talent. They offer the resources of a larger platform while maintaining the flexibility and collaboration of a mid-sized firm. Leadership is supportive of lateral integration and provides a smooth onboarding process, cross-marketing opportunities, and administrative support to help incoming partners grow.

10+ years of experience in sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, and related tax work.

A portable book of business (targeting $400K+ but open to discussion depending on fit).

Expertise in designing estate plans for high-net-worth individuals, business succession strategies, and tax-efficient wealth transfer techniques.

Strong knowledge of trust structures, family entities, charitable planning, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies.

An active license in good standing in Colorado; LL.M. in Taxation or CPA is a plus but not required.

A collaborative approach and desire to mentor junior attorneys or work closely with colleagues across corporate, tax, or real estate practices.
