Under the supervision of the Security Installation Manager the Security Alarm Install Technician installs CCTV, Card Access, Fire and Burglar systems. This position will be expected to work independently, communicate with customers, follow processes and maintain a positive attitude. Technician will need to be continuously learning in this cutting-edge industry and company will also support these training needs.
Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities
- Install systems to match scope of work & drawings
- Advanced knowledge of code
- Communicate with customers
- Document changes on prints and job folders
- Follow safety processes and promote a culture of safety
- Document parts used on job and follow processes to order material
- Communicate with other technicians and provide technical support
- Maintain acceptable attendance/punctuality standards
- Promote and support the company’s CORE values

- Advanced knowledge of tools, how to use safely and exceptional care habits
- Advanced knowledge of code
- Customer focused and relationship driven
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately both written and verbal
- Ability to clearly see, read and interpret blueprints, prints, tape measure, etc. and differentiate colors on wires, drawings, diagrams etc.
- Resourcefulness needed when dealing with products less familiar
- Operate lifts occasionally
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout the course of the work day
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, and work at heights above 30 feet
- Lift 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to routinely perform work in both internal and external environments and with occasional exposure to inclement weather, and varying temperatures
- Ability to take on call and answer phones, communicate effectively and drive a vehicle any time of day

Education / Experience / Certification Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Microsoft 365 Applications, iOS Devices and experience with other industry related software
- 1 year of experience preferred but willing to train
