Required Skills:

  • This job is for a System Architect who will help modernize a child support IT system.

  • You’ll act as a leader + architect, designing big-picture systems beyond coding.

  • Must understand child support systems (current or modernized).

  • Guide developers, make architecture decisions, and ensure the system runs smoothly.

  • Long-term project (up to 5 years).

  • Must be local and willing to be on-site part of the time.

Job Description:

  • Design and Develop: Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level IT systems, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements. Create architectural documentation.

  • Technical Leadership: Act as a technical expert and mentor for development teams. Provide guidance on best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.

  • Requirements Analysis: Work with stakeholders, product managers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to improve system performance, security, and scalability.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure architecture supports high-quality, maintainable, and testable code. Conduct code reviews and architectural audits.

  • Troubleshooting: Address and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks in existing systems.

  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date system architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
