Raspberry Bush Trimmer
Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and hard-working individuals to assist with the trimming and maintenance of raspberry bushes. The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, an eye for detail, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Experience with gardening or farming is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trim and prune raspberry bushes according to established guidelines.
- Remove dead, damaged, or diseased canes to promote healthy growth.
- Ensure bushes are well-maintained, ensuring proper shape and spacing.
- Remove excess growth that may hinder fruit production or quality.
- Assist in the cleanup of plant debris and trimmings.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Perform other tasks related to raspberry farming as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working with pruning tools and other equipment.
- Physical stamina to bend, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Experience in agriculture, gardening, or landscaping is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel regularly throughout the day.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including exposure to sun, rain, and varying temperatures.
