LUV Car Wash was founded in Sept of 2021, and we have rapidly grown to over 80+ locations in 6 states, including CA, NV, FL, GA, PA, and NJ. We are looking to add a Maintenance Training Manager to our growing team to help us continue our mission to become the best car wash in the industry.

Reports to: VP of Facilities Maintenance

FLSA Status: Exempt


Physical Demands:

  • Lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
  • Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • See clearly and respond to dangerous situations.
  • Safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds or more
  • Work in extreme weather.
  • Work in a wet environment and wear PPE correctly throughout the day.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with identifying candidates, assessing competency, and supporting the promotion or hiring of both internal and external applicants for the Maintenance Lead role.
  • Create and Develop manuals, training videos, checklist and tracking tools to help organize and support learning and development in the maintenance department.
  • Design and implement a structured training program, that offers online and hands-on training program that is modeled after the Boy Scouts of America merit badge system to certify Maintenance Leads, Maintenance Techs, and other Operational Managers.
  • Create training content and courses for specific technical competencies as needed and requested by VP of Facilities, for each aspect of car wash preventative maintenance, repair and upkeep.
  • Conduct In-person training sessions in each region/district based on approved course outline, to ensure trainees can demonstrate competency and are certified on each skill. Certifications will live in Paylocity and be assigned by Maintenance Training Manager after completion of in-person training.
  • Communicate schedule of training course outlines a minimum of two weeks prior to arrival to ensure full course rosters and maximize effort. Work with DM’s to fill course spots with interested employees.
  • Follow up with trainees who have completed merit badges to ensure they are properly applying the knowledge gained in the training program, and provide retraining when necessary.
  • Work closely with Operations, Facilities, and HR to align training goals with company-wide initiatives and ensure seamless execution of maintenance standards.
  • Travel to LUV Car Wash locations (approximately 75% of the time) to conduct on-site training, assessments, and refreshers.
  • Occasionally assist with Work Orders in the absence of Qualitied Maintenance Tech.

Job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position. Every employee is required to remain updated on company policies and affairs through appropriate sources, such as the internal employee website.


Requirements:

  • Flexible work hours in case of emergency repairs.
  • Opportunity to work overtime for on-call responses to emergency repair.
  • If Twilight, the ability to consistently work 4pm to 1am.
  • If Sunrise, the ability to consistently work 4am to 1pm.
