This opportunity is with a rapidly growing data center solutions company headquartered in Atlanta, GA. With a strong reputation for delivering mission-critical infrastructure services, the company has expanded significantly. They are looking to invest in a strategic IT leader to build and mature their corporate IT function to support continued success.
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Corporate IT will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive IT strategy to support the company’s operations, growth, and innovation initiatives. This executive will lead and expand the corporate IT function, which currently consists of a lean team, and will be responsible for building the team, processes, and infrastructure from the ground up. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader with deep experience in infrastructure, enterprise systems, information security, compliance, and software delivery—especially within Microsoft environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership
o Develop and execute a long-term IT strategy aligned with corporate goals.
o Partner with executive leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that enable growth and operational efficiency.
o Act as a thought leader and change agent across the business for digital transformation and IT innovation.
• Team Building & Management
o Build and lead a high-performing IT team across infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and support functions.
o Define organizational structure, recruit talent, and manage vendor partnerships where needed.
o Foster a collaborative, service-oriented IT culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Infrastructure & Operations
o Architect and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT infrastructure (network, cloud, on-premise, hybrid).
o Oversee IT operations, service delivery, and end-user support across multiple locations.
o Drive systems standardization, modernization, and optimization in a Microsoft-centric environment (Azure, Office 365, etc.).
• Cybersecurity & Compliance
o Lead the development and enforcement of information security policies and procedures.
o Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
o Conduct risk assessments and manage mitigation strategies for IT security.
• Business Applications & Software
o Oversee corporate business systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.) and ensure alignment with operational needs.
o Manage software selection, implementation, integration, and lifecycle across departments.
o Champion data governance and business intelligence strategies.
• IT Governance & Budgeting
o Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investments and ROI.
o Implement IT governance frameworks and metrics to track performance and value delivery.
o Provide regular updates and reporting to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior/executive role.
• Proven experience scaling IT functions in high-growth or mid-market companies, preferably in infrastructure-heavy or mission-critical sectors.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies and ecosystems (Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, Active Directory, etc.).
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT, including cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure, cloud, and software delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and mentor teams.
• Experience developing IT roadmaps and executing transformational initiatives.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred:
• Experience working in data center, infrastructure services, or technology consulting industries.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to IT compliance in tech or infrastructure sectors.
