We are looking for an IT Support Specialistto join the Abdo team. If you are someone who likes learning new tricks, playing with technology, collaborating with a team, and most importantly, if you find fulfillment in helping others, this role is for you!

This role is responsible for end-user technical support, including PCs, applications, printing, and mobile devices. The IT Support Specialist is an exceptional communicator and excels in customer service while maintaining strong professional relationships with internal clients, vendors, and partners. Self-motivation is necessary to complete background projects and assist in the execution of long-term technological initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide professional and charismatic IT support to all end users and occasionally to clients
  • Assist with training users on how to use applications
  • Resolve technical issues with a patient and empathetic approach
  • Document systems and processes
  • Act as one of the first responders to IT related problems at the firm
  • Work in a ticketing system to centralize and track communications with end users
  • Troubleshoot, update, and install accounting information systems, apps, and other software
  • Effectively communicate with vendors as needed
  • Proactively communicate with end users as problems are addressed
  • Escalate problems to IT Director/Systems Administrators/Network Administrator that are more complex or require higher permissions
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address business critical issues that may occur after hours
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback from and to the IT Director as the IT department and firm evolves
  • Troubleshoot and administer Microsoft 365 services and Azure Resources

Ideal IT Support Specialist candidate has:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technology-related degree preferred, or combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years experience working in a customer service-oriented role, preferably technology based
  • Industry certificates such as A+, Network+/CCNA, Azure fundamentals, Security+, CCNT, MCSA preferred but not required
  • Strong critical thinking and communication, with a focus on customer service
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Flexible Workplace:
Abdo approaches the hybrid work environment through flexible workplace options. While some of this role can be performed from home, we are looking for this role to be mostly in-office, based out of our Edina location (3-5 days in-office).

Interviews for this position may be conducted via Zoom video.

Additional Information:
At Abdo, we are committed to providing fair, transparent, and competitive compensation that reflects the unique skills and experiences of each candidate. The estimated base pay range for this role is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour. Offers are typically made below the maximum to allow room for future compensation increases in the role. The compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, skills, and business needs.

All employees have the opportunity to earn discretionary bonuses based on demonstration of extraordinary performance, special projects of significant importance, or other major accomplishments.
