Engagement: Long-Term Consulting Opportunity

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 2 days onsite / 3 days remote)

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to support large-scale cloud modernization, data platform transformation, and AI-driven initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on engineering work, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and automated cloud platforms using modern tools like Azure, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Python.

You’ll play a key role in improving cloud operations, strengthening DevOps practices, and enabling next-generation data and AI capabilities.


What You’ll Be Doing

Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Build and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure
  • Improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of cloud environments
  • Support hybrid and cloud-native system architectures

DevOps & Automation

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git
  • Automate infrastructure, deployments, and operational workflows
  • Develop Python scripts to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
  • Promote DevOps best practices across teams

Snowflake & Data Platform Support

  • Administer Snowflake environments (security, performance, and access control)
  • Optimize queries and improve warehouse performance
  • Support data engineering teams with best practices and platform stability

Kubernetes & Containers

  • Deploy and manage containerized applications in Kubernetes/AKS
  • Support scaling, monitoring, and secure container operations

AI & Modern Data Platforms

  • Support AI/ML and advanced analytics initiatives
  • Help integrate AI capabilities into data platforms and workflows
  • Explore and support emerging AI-driven technologies

Monitoring & Reliability

  • Build monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using Azure Monitor
  • Improve system reliability through proactive performance tracking
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Security & Governance

  • Implement cloud security best practices and RBAC models
  • Ensure compliance, auditing, and secure access controls
  • Partner with security teams on governance initiatives


What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Experience

  • 8+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git
  • Strong Snowflake administration experience (RBAC, performance tuning, optimization)
  • Advanced Python scripting/automation skills
  • Experience with Kubernetes / AKS and containerized environments
  • Strong understanding of monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, dashboards)
  • Experience supporting data pipelines (ETL/ELT)


Nice to Have

  • Exposure to AI/ML or intelligent automation solutions
  • Snowflake Cortex or AI-driven data tools
  • MLOps or machine learning pipeline experience
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates)
  • Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and governance
