Job Overview:
OcyonBio PR Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our pharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing IT hardware and software used by employees, ensuring our cybersecurity strategy follows industry best practices, and providing insight from an IT perspective for developing projects by other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Helpdesk Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in the facility.
- Walk users through problem-solving processes to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- User Management: Help create and manage user accounts as employees and contractors join OcyonBio.
- Provide appropriate licenses and rights to user accounts to perform their assignments.
- Hardware and Software Deployment
- Maintain inventory of available hardware and software available in OcyonBio facility to be provided to employees.
- Prepare and distribute hardware and software to appropriate users to enable them to perform their assigned tasks.
- Track custody of hardware and software provided employees to ensure proper control of assets.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and replace hardware and software as necessary.
- Cybersecurity Awareness and Maintenance:
- Ensure cybersecurity assets are functional, such as anti-virus software and firewall modules.
- Document processes and perform data backups.
- Implement security protocols to prevent potential threats.
- Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- IT Project Development
- Plan and develop roadmaps for IT projects and initiatives.
- Support other department’s projects from an IT perspective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in IT activities, including troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco) are a plus.
- Proficiency in IT systems, hardware, software, networks, and related technologies.
- Understanding of best practices in IT administration and cybersecurity.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve IT technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Customer-oriented and patient.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements OFFICE POSITION - While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:
Hybrid working environment, must be able to be present on-site every week.
Ability to operate a computer for extended periods.
Must be able to work while wearing personal protection equipment as required by construction zone and clean room regulations.
Ability to perform light and moderate lifting of electronics or other items.
Must be able to tolerate moderate noise disruption due to construction or other ongoing activities.
Must be able to collaborate in meetings with other individuals, teams, and departments.
