Responsibilities
- Lead engaging Ninja Warrior obstacle course classes for children and teens, ensuring safety and fun at all times
- Demonstrate proper techniques for climbing, jumping, balancing, and other agility-based skills to participants of varying experience levels
- Develop customized training plans that cater to individual skill levels while encouraging progress and confidence
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety rules, conducting equipment inspections, and supervising all activities
- Foster a positive atmosphere that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among participants
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to plan special events, competitions, or themed challenges that enhance the program experience
- Manage behavior effectively by applying behavior management strategies to ensure respectful and focused participation
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sports coaching, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), swimming, climbing, or related physical activities
- Lifeguard certification or experience is highly desirable to ensure safety during water-related activities or emergencies
- Strong background in teaching physical education or working with children in a childcare or school setting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate and guide students positively
- Familiarity with fitness disciplines like cheerleading, basketball, or health club environments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct diverse age groups effectively
- Passion for promoting health, fitness, and active lifestyles through engaging instruction
