Job Title: Commercial Carpenter

Pay- 20-28/hr

Job Description

This role focuses on rough carpentry work for commercial construction projects, supporting a dedicated projects team throughout the busy season from spring through the holidays. You will work as part of a crew in a contract-to-hire arrangement, with long-term opportunities based on your performance and attendance. The position involves daily travel from the shop to various commercial job sites and hands-on work with a variety of carpentry tools and materials in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rough carpentry tasks on commercial construction projects, including framing and general construction work.
  • Use hand and power tools such as tape measures, nailers, and saws to complete carpentry assignments safely and accurately.
  • Read and follow measurements precisely to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Meet at the shop each morning and travel with the crew to assigned commercial job sites.
  • Work effectively in outdoor environments, including exposure to hot and cold weather conditions.
  • Collaborate with crew members to complete daily project goals and maintain a productive work pace.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and proper tool handling procedures on job sites.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and orderly condition.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and strong work ethic to support the team and project timelines.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of construction experience.
  • Prior carpentry experience, specifically in rough carpentry and framing.
  • Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools related to carpentry, including tape measures, nailers, and saws.
  • Ability to perform construction and carpentry tasks on commercial job sites.
  • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold days.
  • Capability to work as part of a crew and follow directions from site leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when measuring and cutting materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience on commercial construction sites.
  • Familiarity with general construction practices and terminology.
  • Demonstrated reliability in attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to work in a contract-to-hire arrangement based on performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
