Omaha Country Club is a premier, private Club offering our members and their guests an exceptional experience through our fine dining restaurant and event spaces, championship golf course, tennis facility, pool, and superb amenities. Providing outstanding customer service to our members is our goal each and every day.

Omaha Country Club is seeking responsible, certified Lifeguards to work at our newly renovated swimming pool complex! Lifeguards serve a vital role by ensuring the safety of our members and guests, enforcing pool rules, providing swimming lessons, and overseeing pool activities. Come join our team and work in the beautiful atmosphere of the OCC pool!

JOB DUTIES

Maintain surveillance of the swimming pool and pool deck to ensure the safety of members and guests.

Communicate clearly and enforce pool safety rules in a respectful and professional manner.

Quickly recognize emergency situations, perform rescues, and administer first aid or CPR as required.

Provide a welcoming environment for all members and guests. Promptly respond to requests and complaints, and notify the manager on duty of any corrective actions to be taken.

Maintain a clean and appealing pool deck, removing any hazards or debris.

Perform pool opening and closing duties including cleaning pool deck, clearing pool of debris, and arranging pool furniture, lifeguard chair, pool toys and swimming aids.

Provide private swimming lessons as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience as a lifeguard at a high-end resort or country club preferred.

Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.

Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification.

Strong swimming skills and physical fitness. Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk.

Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.

Genuine desire to provide the utmost in service excellence.

A natural team player with a friendly, optimistic, can-do attitude.

Exhibits a neat, clean and professional appearance.

Capable of being discreet while handling conversations and issues with confidentiality.

Detail-oriented with strong verbal communication skills.

Must be fluent in English.

Must be 16 years of age or older.

Must be punctual, with reliable attendance, and dependable transportation.

Must be able to abide by the OCC Tobacco, Alcohol and Drug Policy.

SCHEDULE

Part-time, seasonal position through Labor Day.

OCC offers flexible scheduling. This position requires weekend and holiday availability.

COMPENSATION

Starting Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
