The firm is expanding and seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join a growing team handling sophisticated family law matters including divorce custody support adoption and domestic violence cases. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who values client service organizational excellence and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and case management related to family law matters including calendaring deadlines maintaining files and tracking court dates
- Draft pleadings motions discovery requests settlement agreements and related legal documents with accuracy and efficiency
- Support attorneys in hearings trials and mediations by preparing trial binders exhibits witness lists and financial documentation
- Manage document production and communicate professionally with clients opposing counsel experts and court personnel while maintaining strict confidentiality
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or degree required (bachelor's degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience as a family law paralegal with thorough knowledge of family law procedures court rules and filing requirements
- Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Proficiency with legal software (Clio ProLaw or similar) Microsoft Office Suite and e-filing systems preferred
