Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Powersports Mechanic to join our service and parts department. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of recreational vehicles. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent organizational abilities, and a customer-focused approach to every interaction.
A background in powersports is essential, with strong preference given to candidates who have experience working with BRP product lines, Ski-Doo, Honda, and Arctic Cat products.

Responsibilities:Diagnostic and Repair Duties
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues in vehicles, equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Utilize diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify malfunctions
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure they are functioning properly
Customer Service
- Communicate with customers to understand the nature of the issue and provide explanations about the diagnosis and repair process
- Work with Service Writers to prepare detailed cost estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain customer approval before starting work
- Explain post-repair vehicle conditions and answer customer questions regarding maintenance and operation
Record-Keeping and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs
- Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks for warranties or customer files
Shop Maintenance and Safety
- Keep tools, equipment, and the shop area clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace regulations
Collaboration and Training
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to complete complex repairs efficiently
- Stay updated on the latest industry developments, vehicle technology, and diagnostic equipment
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong understanding of small engine mechanics and repair
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and basic hand tools
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Prior experience in customer service and mechanical repair (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment, including overtime when necessary
