Cloud-Native Software Engineer – Defense Sector | Camarillo, CA
LHH is partnering with a leading defense contractor to find a Cloud-Native Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience to support the Naval Data Distribution System (NDDS) at Naval Air Station Point Mugu in Camarillo, California. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national security while advancing your career in a stable, employee-focused environment.
Salary Range:
$100,000 – $150,000 annually
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, location, and contractual requirements.
What You’ll Do
Join a forward-thinking team where you’ll architect and develop scalable microservices and cloud-native applications that support mission-critical defense systems.

Architect & Develop: Build robust .NET Core microservices for next-gen platforms.

Containerize & Orchestrate: Deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/Fargate.

Integrate & Innovate: Work with MongoDB, Splunk, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, and AWS services.

Streamline Delivery: Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

Collaborate & Lead: Contribute in agile teams and grow into mentorship and leadership roles.

Strategic Impact: Influence architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers.
What You Bring

Experience: 3–10 years in software development with a focus on cloud-native applications.

Tech Stack: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Angular, RESTful APIs.

Database Knowledge: MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB.

DevOps: Git, GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Cloud: AWS (ECS, Fargate, S3), Terraform.

AI Tools: Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor for development tasks.

Security: Understanding of OpenID Connect, OAuth2, Keycloak.

Education: BS/BA in Computer Science or related field.
Substitutions: 6 years of relevant experience without a degree, or 4 years with an associate degree.
