What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with planning and leading daily activities for our residents, including arts and crafts, music therapy, games, exercise classes, and group outings.
  • Engage with residents to encourage participation in activities, ensuring that everyone feels involved and valued.
  • Assist in organizing special events, such as holiday parties, birthday celebrations, themed social gatherings, and outings.
  • Provide one-on-one interaction with residents, offering companionship and support during activities.
  • Maintain activity supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for each program.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, including nurses, caregivers, and management, to ensure activities align with individual care plans and residents' preferences.
  • Monitor and document resident participation and feedback, reporting any changes or needs to the team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for working with seniors and a desire to create positive, enriching experiences.
  • Previous experience in activity coordination or a similar role (preferred, but not required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you should be able to interact with residents in a friendly, empathetic, and patient manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and events.
  • A creative and enthusiastic spirit – someone who is willing to think outside the box to make activities fun and meaningful.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to accommodate special events and resident needs.
