Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description
The Engineering Technician will support manufacturing processes, product testing, and experimental development. The role involves conducting standard tests and measurements, interpreting data, and using results to improve processes. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues or know when to escalate. Effective communication in written, verbal, and graphical formats across technical and non-technical teams in English is essential. You will reference and apply technical literature and troubleshooting guides, and embrace hands-on work in varied environments, including hot, cold, or messy conditions.
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing processes, product testing, and experimental development.
- Conduct standard tests and measurements, interpret data, and use results to improve processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues or escalate when necessary.
- Communicate effectively in written, verbal, and graphical formats across technical and non-technical teams in English.
- Reference and apply technical literature and troubleshooting guides.
- Embrace hands-on work in varied environments, including hot, cold, or messy conditions.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in engineering, troubleshooting, and schematic interpretation.
- Experience with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), testing, and aerospace defense.
- Tool design and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with at least one CAD platform.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of modern machining processes.
- Familiarity with metrology tools and measurement techniques.
- A strong commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
- An A.A.S. degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Automotive Engineering Technology.
Work Environment
The position is 100% onsite in Mahwah, with a work schedule of 5 days fully onsite, typically during standard hours like 8:30-4:30 or 9-5. The organization has a tight-knit group with 47 employees. The company culture is family-oriented with a significant footprint within the government/DoD space, providing a great opportunity to have a direct impact and relationship with everyone within the organization.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $72800.00/yr.
