Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to comprehensively evaluate patients' trauma histories, symptoms, and needs.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to address trauma recovery and resilience-building in collaboration with patients.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Facilitate supportive therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma, developing healthy coping strategies, and fostering a path toward healing.
  • \n

  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of patient treatment are being addressed holistically.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and offering stabilization resources.
  • \n

  • Educate patients and their families about managing trauma responses, identifying healthy coping mechanisms, and accessing additional resources.

  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education efforts focused on best practices in trauma-informed care.

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in trauma therapy to enhance treatment delivery and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves individuals impacted by trauma within a hospice context. You'll engage with a diverse client population, including those dealing with severe emotional distress and complex trauma histories. Your expertise will empower patients to navigate their healing journeys, offering them hope and practical steps to regain control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee is essential.
  • \n

  • Sound knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities is critical.
  • \n

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate building rapport with clients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
  • \n

  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant technology to ensure effective patient management.
  • \n

  • Ability to thrive in a remote collaborative environment and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
