Pitmaster / Pitmaster in Training — Build a Career in BBQ

We’re looking for someone who wants to master the art of smoking meat, take pride in their craft, and help build a BBQ destination people come back for.

Experience is welcome, but your attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn matter most. We can teach technique. You bring commitment, attention to detail, and the drive to get better every day.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Coachable: You listen, ask questions, take feedback, and put it into practice.
  • Hardworking and dependable: You show up ready and follow through, even when the work gets demanding.
  • Detail-oriented: You understand that fire management, seasoning, timing, tenderness, and presentation all matter.
  • Good with people: You enjoy connecting with guests and making them feel welcome.
  • A team player with leadership potential: You help others, communicate clearly, and lead by example.
  • Career-minded: You want to grow into a skilled, respected pitmaster and build a reputation for exceptional BBQ.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn and follow our methods for preparing, seasoning, smoking, holding, and serving meats.
  • Manage fires and monitor cooking temperatures, timing, and product quality.
  • Maintain consistent standards for every cook and every plate.
  • Keep the pit and prep areas clean, organized, and ready for service.
  • Follow food safety procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Work closely with the team and interact positively with guests.
  • Take increasing ownership of pit operations as your skills develop.

The Opportunity

This is hands-on work that takes patience, discipline, and pride. It’s also an opportunity to learn a craft, earn responsibility, and become known for food people celebrate.

If you’re hungry to learn, willing to work, and ready to build a career in BBQ, we want to hear from you.

Apply with a brief introduction telling us why this opportunity interests you, any relevant experience, and what you’re looking for in your next career move.
