We are seeking a professional and compassionate receptionist to join our team at Don Fuego medical cannabis dispensary. As the front desk concierge, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, providing them with a radiant greeting, expert advice on medical cannabis products, assisting with product selection, and ensuring an overall positive experience. Your goal will be to support patients in self-prescribing and checking them in while promoting the Don Fuego brand name and upholding our ethos: an elite unrivaled experience, every time. This is not your average dispensary!
Medical Dispensary Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Greet and welcome patients upon arrival, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, directing inquiries to appropriate staff members or providing information as needed.
- Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and forms accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient identification and eligibility for medical cannabis purchases.
- Address patient concerns and questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Check patients in upon arrival into Blaze system
- Assist patients in placing their orders
Administrative Duties
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Adhere to all dispensary policies and procedures, including compliance with local regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of patient/customer information and records.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical cannabis regulations and terminology a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer software systems
- Regularly work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet staffing needs of our retail setting.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- A professional appearance and demeanor.
- Spend several hours a day viewing a computer screen.
- Required to adhere to a dress code.
- Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
- Shift: 10 hour shift / 8 hour shift
- Ability to commute/relocate: Washington, D.C. 20001
- Regular attendance is expected and is considered an essential function
