MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our vehicle sustainment team in Schofield Barracks, Honolulu, HI. The selected candidate will provide maintenance support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on Heavy tactical vehicles, including HEMTT, PLS, and related platforms.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, braking, steering and suspension systems.
- Conducts scheduled services and inspections, ensuring equipment safety and readiness standards.
- Document maintenance actions accurately in accordance with established standards.
- Maintains CFR, FIAR, OSHA, AFOSH, and other federal, country, state regulatory compliance requirements.
- Properly handles the accountability and disposal of hazardous waste and maintain current certifications and training requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- \n
- 6+ years of qualified mechanical experience.
- Up to 25% Travel Required.
- Extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing components for various vehicles and equipment, including Heavy Tactical, construction, and transport vehicles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, pump, and mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, including diagnostics and repairs. Experience applying industry and/or military standard troubleshooting procedures to isolate faulty system components.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs using appropriate technical manuals.
- Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, and multi-meters.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
- \n
- Familiarity with Army maintenance systems (GCSS-Army, SAMS-E or equivalent) for work orders, parts tracking, and reediness reporting.
- 6+ Experience maintaining U.S. Army tactical wheeled vehicles, with advanced expertise on the PLS (M1074/M1075 with ECU) platforms
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and drivetrain systems specific to the HEMTT variants of vehicles.
- Experience as a 91X, 91Z or 915A.

- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.

- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.

The projected compensation range for this position is $46,600.00-$78,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
