This is a PM type Field Manager position for Projects at Manufacturing Sites and Engineering experience is required. Project Management know-how is advantageous to successful performance.
You will be focused on the Coordination of Manufacturing Production Activities for multiple site locations (mainly tri-state) where you'll conduct comprehensive progress evaluations and create reports based upon your observations of workflow and your interactions with Site Personnel.
Manufacturing Production at site locations encompasses Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Projects.
You will provide verbal and written reporting regarding production during specific shifts. Your follow-up reports will contain clearly communicated status updates. You'll have authority to issue vouchers for Supervised Personnel.
You'll be responsible for assuring Suppliers and other Vendors consistently provide documentation confirming compliance with established warranty agreements. You will have a Supervisory obligation in this important process which will ultimately enable the company to satisfy contractual commitments with our customers.
You'll monitor the day-to-day flow of work between Employees (including clerical and technical staff) as well as Contractors and Engineering Staff. As you document activities, you will strive to identify areas for improvement to decrease worker overtime while also increasing efficiency for on time and within budget product delivery. Achieving this goal may entail reviewing Production Planning schedules to verify appropriate sequencing for implementation of modifications to the production workload.

- Confer with Engineering Teams to determine progress of work and completion dates
- Initiate and conduct specialized testing procedures
- Familiar with manufacturing warranty and acceptance protocols
- Review and communicate production status
- Compile reports on costs and inventory levels
- Serve as point of contact to assure Vendors are submitting required documentation and are meeting their obligations
- Previous experience in production, planning, or related
- Mechanical aptitude (knowledge of Metric Measurement System helpful)
- Cognizant of Shop Floor safety issues
- Project Management skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed as well as work in teams
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Familiarity with ERP Systems, i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.
