About Anchor Bay Powder Coat
Anchor Bay Powder Coat is a leading advanced surface coating and finishing solutions provider serving aerospace, defense, power generation, and broad industrial markets including infrastructure (roads, bridges, railways, airports, and ports) and specialty fencing. Our ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications reflect our commitment to world-class quality systems.
We are a growing company looking for motivated people who want to scale with us, contribute to meaningful growth, and help drive positive change in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Role Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst owns key financial processes—including internal and external reporting, cash management, and profitability improvements—while providing clear, data-driven insights that help senior leadership make better decisions.
You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team, partner with operations and the shop floor, and use modern tools (Claude and other AI platforms, advanced Excel, and QuickBooks Online) to eliminate manual processes and improve how we analyze and run the business. This is a high-impact role with real visibility and the opportunity to grow as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for senior leadership and capital partners, translating results into clear insights and recommendations.
- Actively manage cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and day-to-day accounting needs; proactively address aged receivables and establish consistent payment terms with customers and suppliers.
- Assess product/service offerings and pricing strategies; deliver data-driven recommendations that improve margins and overall profitability.
- Use Claude and other AI tools, Excel, and QuickBooks Online to accelerate analysis, automate reporting, identify trends, and digitize finance processes (goal of eliminating paper-based workflows).
- Manage the company credit card program, including policies, limits, and timely expense reporting.
- Partner with the team on the manufacturing floor and across the organization to understand operations, support root-cause problem solving, and help reduce lead times.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality while communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or operational finance (manufacturing environment a plus).
- Demonstrated proficiency using Claude and other AI tools for analysis, reporting, and process improvement, plus advanced Excel and QuickBooks Online.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort presenting to all levels of the organization.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and engaging with team members on the shop floor.
- High integrity, attention to detail, organizational skills, and a bias for action in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax concepts helpful.
