The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of work pertaining to the general maintenance and repair of the homes and apartments of individuals served by Partners In Opportunities, Inc. and the PIO office. The Maintenance Technician is responsible to help provide a safe, hazard free living environment for the Individuals Partners in Opportunities, Inc. serves.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 18 years of age, high school diploma/GED required. Valid driver’s license and good driving record as well as a clean criminal background.
Must possess a vehicle capable of transporting supplies such as a truck or large SUV.
Must possess basic plumbing, electrical, appliance installation and removal, expense management, carpentry and general maintenance skills. Must be able to perform duties in an environment that will likely include the presence of disabled individuals and occasionally will work alongside these same individuals.
Must be able to lift and move furniture and appliances as needed and meet the general physical requirements detailed in hiring packet.
Maintain a record of all maintenance expenditures and balance petty cash register on a weekly basis.
B) Complete a timecard on a daily basis recording all hours worked.
Request and coordinate estimates from outside vendors on maintenance work as needed.
B) Inspect and supervise all contract work to ensure it is completed in a timely and professional manner.
C) Coordinate all Individual moves.
