Job Description
Job Summary:
Our client in Burlington County, NJ is undergoing a multi-year modernization of its digital, data, and AI platforms. They are seeking an Enterprise Architect to define and lead the target-state architecture across core commercial, operational, and data systems. This role guides the transition to a modern, scalable, API‑first ecosystem enabling enterprise-wide AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Strategy
- Define the target-state architecture across eCommerce, ERP, CRM, contact center, and enterprise data/AI platforms.
- Build multi‑year modernization roadmaps aligned to digital and AI transformation goals.
Integration & Platform Modernization
- Lead the shift from legacy point‑to‑point integrations to a service‑based, event-driven, API‑first environment.
- Establish enterprise standards for API design, event models, and integration governance.
AI/ML Architecture Leadership
- Create reference architectures for AI use cases (pricing optimization, forecasting, personalization, document intelligence, anomaly detection).
- Standardize patterns for data pipelines, streaming architectures, feature stores, and MLOps/ModelOps.
Platform Governance & Security
- Define architecture guardrails ensuring security, observability, reliability, and compliance.
- Partner with security teams on identity, secrets, API protection, and encryption standards.
Data Governance & Quality
- Champion MDM, data quality, and enterprise data ownership models.
- Support AI teams with data lineage, trust, and governance best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Data, Operations, Security, Sales, Finance, and other teams.
- Translate business needs into scalable, future‑ready architectural strategies.
Architecture Leadership
- Lead architecture reviews, maintain documentation, and mentor engineering teams.
- Assess emerging technologies relevant to the organization’s future state.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 12+ years in Enterprise or Solution Architecture.
- Strong background modernizing legacy systems into microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures.
- Expertise in cloud platforms, distributed systems, data/AI architecture, and enterprise security.
- Experience across ERP, CRM, eCommerce, and data platform ecosystems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
- Must be local to Burlington County, NJ or surrounding areas.
Preferred:
- Industry experience in distribution, manufacturing, MRO, or supply chain.
- Familiarity with GenAI technologies (vector DBs, RAG, orchestration frameworks).
- Architecture certifications (TOGAF, Azure Architect, etc.).
