Position Overview:

\n

COASTAL is seeking a Drainage / Stormwater Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team. This role will focus on the design and analysis of stormwater systems for large-scale residential subdivisions, commercial developments, and standalone commercial sites throughout the northern SWFWMD region.

\n


\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

· Perform stormwater analysis and design for residential and commercial developments

\n

· Develop grading plans for streets, lots, and overall site layouts

\n

· Prepare and manage watershed and basin modeling (StormWise experience preferred)

\n

· Design interconnected pond systems and routing

\n

· Coordinate with utility, roadway, and environmental disciplines

\n

· Assist with Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) (SWFWMD, local jurisdictions)

\n

· Ensure compliance with State, County, and Local Development Codes

\n

· Contribute to site planning for subdivisions and commercial projects with conceptual analysis

Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required)
  • \n

  • Master’s Degree (preferred)
  • \n

  • PE License or EIT actively pursuing licensure (required)
  • \n

  • Experience in stormwater/drainage design (required)
  • \n

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
  • \n

  • Experience with StormWise modeling (preferred/strongly desired)
  • \n

  • Familiarity with ArcGIS (preferred)
  • \n

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe
  • \n

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • \n

This is a salaried, full-time position with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
