Job DescriptionChatham Emergency Services (CES) has an immediate opening for an EMS Captain Position. CES is located in Chatham County here in Southeast Georgia. DUTIES: Supervises Chatham EMS team members. Performs advanced and basic life support procedures under medical direction. Supervises daily work and PR schedule. Provides a robust marketing plan to develop, implement and sustain non-emergency and emergency transports with hospitals, skilled nursing and other healthcare facilities. Build and maintain positive relationships with community and internal stakeholders. Prepare and provide daily performance measures reports. Provide logistical direction and support during daily operations, special events, and disasters. Maintains EMS vehicles, equipment, and supply levels. Inspects apparatus and equipment on a routine basis. May assume duties of EMS officer when absent or when the need arises.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of basic and advanced life support proceduresKnowledge of department policy, procedures and protocolsKnowledge of the principals of marketing and basic public relations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Georgia EMT-Paramedic3 Years EMS ExperienceMinimum of 1-2 Years of Validated Supervisory Experience
Successfully pass background checks, physical and drug test

Advanced Paramedic Endorsement
Critical Intervention Training (CIT)/ECIT Training
BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION:
Motor Vehicle Reports:
DUI or DWI charge with deposition of nolo contender, conviction or plea within the past 3-5 years.
Driver license suspensions within the past 3 years (except for Insurance Cancellation)
Multiple Speeding Tickets within the past 2 years
Multiple accidents within the past 2 years
Reckless Driving within the past 2 years
Vehicular homicide or hit and run charge/arrest
Fleeing or attempting to elude the police charge/arrest
Background Investigations
Applicants must undergo an extensive background investigation applicant are finger-printed and in accordance with the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council (GFSTC), applicants for uniformed firefighting positions must not have:
Pending Criminal cases
Convictions, nolo contendere or pleas involving sexual offense or Domestic Violence Act offenses
Felony convictions and nolo contendere or pleas involving felony arrests (within last 10 years)
Multiple misdemeanors within the past 3 years
Serious misdemeanor convictions, nolo contendere, or pleas within the past 3 years
Criminal Convictions Records within the State of Georgia or nationwide during the past 10 years will be reviewed according GFSTC
