The Software Engineer SME will serve as a Technical Expert, providing advanced support and leadership in the development and maintenance of enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).

Support multiple mission-critical systems across various business domains, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance, usability, and alignment with agency objectives.

Provide technical mentorship, lead troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to key architectural decisions.
Required Skills and Experience:

Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Proven ability to work across multiple projects and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience working within Agile environments.

Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable, user-friendly, and secure applications.

Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Experience with RESTful Web Services, Single Sign-On (SSO), and security best practices.

Deep expertise in Oracle APEX 20.x or higher, PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

5-7+ years of experience developing applications in complex, enterprise environments, with significant focus on Oracle APEX solutions.
