Job Opportunity: SMTC - Elevate Electronics Manufacturing with SMTC!
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Overall Responsibilities: This position performs the inspection of operating the surface mount assemblies as well as recording defects. Must also have the ability to hand place components when needed. This position is also responsible first piece inspection as well as first article reports. Have the knowledge to access company procedures and navigate shop floor controls.
Duties:
- Inspect product to ensure material is compliant with customer dimensional and cosmetic requirements.
- Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
- Read and verify P.O. and drawing requirements.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Provide feedback to Engineers, and enter data into internal database system.
- Arrange proper documentation packages for first article requirements per P.O. and customer expectations.
- Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.
- Responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process.
- Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Experience:
- IPC-A-610 Certified.
- 2 + years of experience in SMT equipment operation preferred.
- 2 years of experience in inspection in electronics manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to interpret detailed drawings as required.
