JOB TITLE: Registered Echo Technician / Sonographer
JOB OVERVIEW
- Location: New York, NY 10016
- Job Type: Contract (no benefits)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Schedule options: Tuesday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, or Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
- Local candidates required: Yes
- Traveler candidates required: Yes
PAY RATE
- Local candidates: $60 to $65 per hour, based on experience
- Traveler candidates: $2,400 to $2,600 per week, based on experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in adult cardiac scans
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Echo Technician / Sonographer
- Completion of an appropriate training program for Ultrasound Technologist
- Associate’s degree
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One of the following credentials:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) issued by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). RDMS is not acceptable; only RDCS is accepted.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) issued by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Stress testing experience
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Completion of an appropriate training program for Ultrasound Technologist, which may include military training
