Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 3rd to 5th year Complex Litigation and Class Actions Associate to join its San Francisco office on an in office basis.

This is a litigation focused role centered on sophisticated consumer class action defense, including matters involving false advertising, alleged product defect, breach of warranty, and consumer protection statutes.

The firm offers a collaborative, team oriented environment with strong infrastructure and resources for complex disputes, along with a well established approach to training and professional development for associates handling high value matters.

The Opportunity

You will support and lead key workstreams in consumer class actions across a range of industries, including consumer products, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, technology, and financial services. The practice includes meaningful briefing responsibility, active discovery management, and opportunities to develop deposition and hearing experience depending on prior exposure and case needs.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 3rd to 5th year Complex Litigation and Class Actions Associate with:

• 3 to 5 years of consumer class action defense experience, including false advertising, product defect, warranty, and consumer protection matters
• Experience with California Unfair Competition Law
• Strong experience with class certification and or summary judgment briefing
• Proficiency in electronic discovery workflows and day to day case management
• Active bar membership in California, New York, or Washington

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this role is $260,000 to $365,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
