Job Description Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Tool Room Attendant / Warehouse Counter Associate to support inventory control, material distribution, and internal customer service operations. This role functions similarly to a parts counter position, assisting internal customers with locating, preparing, and distributing tools, parts, and inventory items while maintaining an organized storeroom environment.
This is a hands-on warehouse role with no forklift operation required. Candidates with strong attendance, a stable work history, and a willingness to learn will be successful in this position. This opportunity may lead to permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Pull and prepare requested tools, parts, and inventory items for pickup
- Assist internal customers at the tool room/service counter
- Verify incoming inventory and stock materials in designated locations
- Read and follow work orders accurately
- Maintain inventory organization and accurate storage locations
- Support inventory control and material tracking activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment
- Perform general warehouse and inventory support duties as assigned
- Work independently while supporting multiple operational areas when needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of recent, stable work history
- No unexplained employment gaps greater than 3 months
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and attendance record
- Ability to learn product and inventory information quickly
- Valid driver s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, stockroom, inventory, or tool room experience
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience working with parts, tools, maintenance inventory, or supply room operations
- Experience supporting internal customers in a service counter environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
