Job Description

This role supports e-commerce operations by safely and efficiently moving merchandise throughout a distribution center using material handling equipment. You help ensure products are accurately received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped so that customers receive items in excellent condition and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Operate warehouse equipment to move products throughout the distribution center in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Unload merchandise from inbound trucks and process receipts according to established procedures.
  • Stock received merchandise into designated warehouse locations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Locate specified products to fulfill orders and move them to the appropriate loading areas for outbound shipments.
  • Pack smaller products into larger containers or cartons for shipment to stores and distribution points.
  • Load merchandise onto outbound trucks for shipment to various company locations.
  • Move merchandise to assigned warehouse locations while maintaining proper organization and flow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with facility standards.
  • Accurately complete and process required paperwork and documentation related to inventory movement and shipments.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while working on the warehouse floor.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity, quality, and accuracy targets.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, production, or similar environment handling loading, inventory, picking, and packing tasks.
  • Ability to load, unload, and process merchandise for inbound and outbound trucks.
  • Ability to move merchandise to designated warehouse locations safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stocking, picking, and packing of orders.
  • Ability to accurately process required paperwork and follow written procedures.
  • Capability to maintain a clean and safe work area in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and availability to work 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
  • Open availability to work any day of the week from Sunday through Saturday as needed.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certification to operate a stand-up forklift is preferred.
  • Previous experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar machinery.
  • Experience working in inventory control, order picking, or packing roles.
  • Comfort working with basic documentation and inventory forms.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with warehouse staff and leadership.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, temperature-controlled warehouse environment with a dedicated break and lunch room. The facility emphasizes safety and organization, and personal protective equipment such as specialized PPE or steel toe boots is not required. The dress code is casual, allowing gym or other closed-toe shoes, jeans, and t-shirts; hoodies are permitted as long as the hood remains down while on the warehouse floor. You work on 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with open availability expected across all days of the week from Sunday through Saturday. The work involves frequent movement around the warehouse, handling merchandise, and using material handling equipment such as stand-up forklifts and other warehouse tools in a structured and orderly setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
