\n inspects, installs and maintains piping, fittings, fixtures, and related equipment of the potabel and non-potable water, medical gases, steam and drainage systems in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.\n
\n
Responsibilities\n
\n
\n Performs regular and emergency repairs to piping systems, repairs or replaces damaged components. Opens clogged drains and vents Uses standard plumbing and piping equipment \n
\n
\nPerforms preventative maintenance and testing on piping systems and fixtures for all steam, hot and cold water, compressed air, medical gases vacuum and backflow preventors. \n
\n
\nPrevents defective pipe by cutting, bending, threading and assembling pipe; solders or caulks pipe joints, inspects connections and components for leaks. Replaces or installs piping insulation. \n
\n
\nMaintains appropriate documentaion of equipment maintenance and reports systems conditions, time and materials expended and troubleshooting methods. Detects and reports any unusual conditions to immediate supervisor.\n
\n
\nAssists other maintenance employees in event of emergencies Performs other duties as assigned\n

\nEDUCATION: High School Diploma \n
\n

\n
\nYEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3 years / Training / Schooling \n
\n
\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: \n
\n
\n
\n
\n1. three years experience in healthcare. Ability to use plumbing drawings, schematics, control diagrams, and vendor manuals. \n
\n
\n
\n
\n2. Must be able to read and undertand buiklding system drawings, schematics and manufacturere's manuals. Must be familiar with applicable codes.\n
\n
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: \n
\n
\n
\n
\nCity of Juristicition Journeyman Plumber liscense, Certification in Repair and Testing of backflow preventors required and works weekends shifts and holidays as required.. \n
\n
\n

\nWorks weekends, shifts and holidays as required
