Job Description

Consilio's ELS direct hire division is seeking a litigation legal assistant on behalf of a law firm in Washington, DC. The right candidate will have a general understanding of court filings and procedures. and be able to support multiple attorneys.

Job responsibilities:

Drafting and Formatting Letters and Legal Documents
Scheduling Depositions
Managing Travel Arrangements
Entering the attorneys time entries
Calendar Management
E-Filing Motions and other Pleadings
Organizing Discovery Materials
Trial preparation to include assembling exhibits and binders
Processing Records
Billing Edits
Managing Expense Reports
Other General Office Administration Functions

Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge of document preparation requirements and filing procedures for Court submissions in local Circuit and District Courts – DC, MD, and VA.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Proactive work style, taking initiative to anticipate attorney needs.
Familiarity with document management systems.

Desired Experience, Education & Licensure:

2-5 years of LITIGATION experience
High School Diploma/ GED
