Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early learners during a maternity leave coverage this school year. This position runs from November 16 through January 28, with work hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You'll collaborate alongside educators to provide exceptional speech and language services to early childhood students in a supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience working with early childhood populations ideal
- Skilled in assessment, direct therapy, and developing IEPs
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Your Role:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to early learners
- Assess, diagnose, and document communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and monitor student-centered IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Complete timely records and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide consultative support to staff and families as needed
