CNC Lathe / Set Up / Operator
Employment Type: Direct HIre
Location: Batavia, IL
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Overview
A growing manufacturer with opportunities across manufacturing and automation. We’re hiring a CNC (Lathe) Operator for our Batavia, IL facility (on-site, full-time, direct hire). No lathe experience? That’s okay—we’re prepared to train the right person.
What You’ll Do
- Learn to set up, program, and run CNC lathes (including Haas Turn Mill and Mazak) through hands-on training
- Read drawings and job travelers to understand part requirements
- Inspect parts using measuring tools to confirm they meet specifications and flag issues early
- Perform secondary operations such as deburring, grinding, drilling, and tapping
- Support production where needed (e.g., assembly, loading/unloading, inventory, shipping/receiving)
- Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
- Collaborate with machinists and team members to keep jobs moving through the department
Must-Have Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
- Basic math skills (decimals and measurements)
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions in English
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs
- Comfort working in a shop environment that is not climate-controlled
- Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
Nice-to-Have
- Shop or manufacturing experience
- CNC or machining experience
- High school diploma or GED
Pay & Benefits
- Up to $30/hr, based on experience
