JOB SUMMERY:
Key Responsibilities and Duties
· Platform Strategy & Architecture:
o Serve as the chief architect and subject matter expert (SME) for the ServiceNow platform.
o Design and govern the end-to-end architecture for complex, integrated ServiceNow solutions, ensuring technical feasibility, performance, and maintainability.
o Define and enforce platform best practices, standards, and governance across development, configuration, and maintenance activities.
o Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap for the ServiceNow environment, ensuring alignment with overall IT and business strategy.
· Technical Expertise & Development:
o Demonstrate expert-level proficiency across all major ServiceNow modules, including but not limited to ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CSM, GRC, and Security Operations.
o Lead the technical design and review of platform integrations with external systems (e.g., ERP, Monitoring tools, CMDB) using various technologies (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server).
o Oversee platform upgrades and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption and leveraging new features effectively.
o Provide expert guidance on advanced platform features like Flow Designer, Service Portal, Performance Analytics, and machine learning capabilities.
· Leadership & Collaboration:
o Act as a collaborative partner to business stakeholders, translating complex business needs into clear, scalable, and technically sound architectural designs.
o Mentor and guide development teams, providing technical oversight, code reviews, and architectural direction.
o Possess great communication skills—the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Problem Solving & Support:
o Exhibit a strong problem-solving attitude, taking ownership of complex technical issues and driving them to resolution.
o Be willing to help resolve issues on a day-to-day basis, acting as the highest escalation point for platform-related production problems.
o Proactively identify technical debt, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
· Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform in an architecture or senior technical capacity.
· Architectural Mastery: Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-level ServiceNow solutions across multiple domains (IT, HR, Customer Service, etc.).
· Certification: Current ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is highly desirable. Multiple ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications across various modules are a strong plus.
· Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to present complex technical topics effectively to executive leadership and technical teams.
· Soft Skills: A highly collaborative demeanor, strong leadership qualities, and a proactive, tenacious problem-solving approach.
· Technical Deep Dive: Expert knowledge of the ServiceNow platform architecture, including database design, security models, performance tuning, and development best practices (e.g., scripting, integrations, UI policies).
Educational Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
