Job Summary :
Fire Alarm Technician is looking for NICET II Certified Fire Alarm Technicians.
The qualified Technician should be highly self-motivated and must be able to problem solve. He/she will have strong communication skills and a professional image. This person must be able to handle all aspects of a new or retrofit project from install to programming, and have strong troubleshooting skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to install fire alarm, security, access, and video systems from various manufactures. Able to complete installations and repairs per NFPA72 and other standards
  • Ability to test and inspect fire alarm systems as well as other life Safety systems.
  • Use company software to complete daily time sheets, and inter-company communications. All work is completed on Phones or company provided computing equipment, and the technician should be familiar and at least somewhat comfortable with the use of technology in this regard.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems including Ground-Faults, Shorts, Wire Integrity, Termination, Panel, Fuses, Battery Testing and much more
  • Programming of dialers and fire alarm panels for monitoring utilizing traditional POTS lines, cellular, and IP technologies
  • Complete basic repairs and installations including moves, adds, relocates for all types of systems and devices
  • Complete final reports, deficiency reports via a computer and/or tablet
  • Interact with clients, field personnel and fire marshals
  • Read and understand construction drawings


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of two years of service or install experience is required
  • Washington 06 or 01 Electrical license is preferred
  • NICET II in Fire Alarm is required
  • Field installation experience is required
  • Solid knowledge of NFPA 70 & 72 codes is required
  • Possess an understanding of expenses and scheduling
  • Hold a valid driver's license; In accordance with Company Policy
  • Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check. #ZR
