We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Streaming team. The team provides a highly stable platform on which hosts can manage live and past shows, plan upcoming shows, and go live. With guidance from our Product team, we add features and tools that improve the experience for our streamers, managers and content creators.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build our current and future websites in React and Next.js
• Work closely with our Product team and contribute with UX choices.
• Be able to quickly prototype new features
• Work together with Backend engineers to design and review API interactions needed for websites
• Improve performance of our sites in order to minimize CLS and LCP
• Build NPM modules with components that can be used across multiple applications
• Perform code reviews
• Write unit tests

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years hands-on experience developing scalable, distributed applications in modern JS based frames.
• Experience building and maintaining Next.js applications for large traffic.
• Experience building JS libraries, React NPM modules and minified applications.
• Strong development proficiency in Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, React.js and GraphQL.
• Excellent understanding of HTTP, requests and performance.
• Deep understanding of client vs server side development and when to use either.
• Understanding of WebSockets and real-time applications.
• Experience in mobile development with React Mobile.
• Experience with unit tests and testing in React.
• Experience with best practices in frontend application design and development.
• Experience with Live Streaming and Video management is a plus.
