Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Current and valid social work licensure appropriate for school-based practice
- Previous experience in a school environment strongly preferred
- Compassionate communicator with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain accurate, confidential documentation
- Skilled in crisis intervention, counseling, and resource coordination
- Familiarity with special education procedures and developing student support plans is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and counseling to students dealing with personal, social, or academic challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school professionals to develop intervention strategies
- Conduct assessments and develop plans to address the unique needs of each student
- Act as a liaison between school, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans when necessary
- Educate staff and families on social-emotional strategies and promote a positive school climate
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with all confidentiality and regulatory standards
