Our client Fellerman & Ciarimboli PC is immediately hiring a Legal Nurse Consultant/Medical Research Specialist to join their team in Kingston, PA. The Legal Nurse Consultant/Medical Research Specialist will play a key role in the intake process and conduct research and analysis on malpractice, motor vehicle, personal injury, and slip/fall cases.

Primary Duties include:

* Responsible for reviewing and triaging all medical malpractice cases coming into the firm, including client interviews and review of medical records.

* Work with experts to screen potential.

* Recommend/reject malpractice cases to attorneys.

* Complete intake rejection calls.

* Establish, review, organize and maintain all medical records and imaging pertaining to a case.

* Follow-up with clients regarding treatment, appointments and other needs.

* Draft medical chronologies and timelines for Complaints.

* Obtain pertinent medical literature and prepare summaries of how medical literature pertains to issues in cases.

* Retain and communicate with experts in case area.

* Draft deposition outlines.

* Contribute to discovery requests.

* Draft demand letters for non-Complaint cases.

* Coordinate IMEs and life care plans for damage workup.

* Requests narratives from providers regarding injuries and treatment.

* Assist with gathering trial preparation materials and exhibits.

* Plan and facilitate regular medical malpractice review with all attorneys and support staff.

* Assist with requesting medical records and imaging.

* Summarize medical records and injuries for demand letters and Complaints.

* Draft medical chronologies.

* Schedule/coordinate IMEs and LCPs for damage work up.

* Assist with coordinating specialized medical care for clients.

* Request narratives from providers regarding injuries and treatment.

* Perform medical research and literature reviews to support cases.

* Retain experts for case files and assist with obtaining expert reports and opinions.

* Assist with gathering trial preparation materials and exhibits.

* Communicate with all in-office staff members and co-counsel staff on other major files.

Pay: Commensurate with experience



Required qualifications:

* Active PA licensure as a RN, CRNP, or PA.

* 5+ years experience as a Legal Nurse Consultant in a personal injury/medical malpractice law firm.

* 3+ years experience in medical case management and medical records research.

* Previous experience interacting with medical providers, insurance companies, and patients/clients.

* Proficiency with all Microsoft platforms and File Vine.
