Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall management of current projects from project award through completion, and for oversight of Project Managers.
- Effectively manage:
- All financial aspects of projects
- Change Order (C/O) process following the Lighthouse Electric Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and estimate change orders as needed
- Project permits and inspections
- Project submittals, RFIs, plans, specs, closeout, etc. with the document control team
- Effectively review, and ensure a comprehensive understanding of, the project contract
- Coordinate required outputs with the Planning, Modeling, and Fabrication teams
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of quoted materials within the project schedule
- Provide scope reviews for required subcontractors
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the progress schedule and all periodic revisions
- Review status reports, modify schedules or plans as required
- Prepare project reports for management and clients, distributing to others as needed Represent the company at job walks, post-bid conferences, job progress meetings, and other related functions
- Set and communicate clear goals and expectations to Field Leadership and Project team
- Break down project estimates into Cost Codes and review with Field Leadership and Project team
- Provide technical advice and resolve issues with project personnel
- Resolve all issues relating to the owner, sub-contractors, architect, or material suppliers
- Advise supervisor of all issues and/or changes to minimize the occurrence of unexpected obstacles
- Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement
- Manage all job closeout procedures
- Work directly with Safety department to ensure compliance with company policies
- Create a Schedule of Values and present the estimate to the owner for payment
- Prepare payment requests and approve material payments in conjunction with Accounting
- Monitor expected payments for accuracy and timeliness
- Effectively recruit top talent, enhancing project teams
- Develop a strong network of professional relationships within our industry
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Work Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5-7 years experience supervising/managing electrical and/or multi trade construction operations
- Valid drivers license required
- Proven experience in effectively managing a program with a contract value exceeding $50 Million
- Ability to take direction from others
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- An understanding of OSHA requirements on electrical projects
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems
- Ability to understand other trades activities in a project schedule
- Prior experience in electrical estimating
Education:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or five (5) years equivalent field experience

- Proven experience in effectively managing multiple teams servicing multiple projects
- Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure
- Proficient math skills
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
