Mid-Level OCM Consultant
Role Overview
The Mid-Level OCM Consultant ( 5 years experience ) leads organizational change management activities supporting enterprise-scale system implementations and business process modernization. This role designs and executes change strategies aligned with large technology deployments (e.g., SaaS, ERP, integrations, data platforms), ensuring stakeholder readiness, adoption, and operational continuity.
The consultant supports governance of change control processes, business readiness planning, communications, training development, stakeholder engagement, and impact analysis across complex, multi-portfolio programs.
Key Responsibilities
Change Strategy & Planning
- Develop and maintain Change Management Plans aligned to program milestones and integrated project plans.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis, audience segmentation, and readiness assessments.
- Identify organizational impacts, risks, resistance points, and mitigation strategies.
- Define success metrics and adoption KPIs.
Change Governance & Control
- Support establishment and operation of Change Control Boards (CCB), including governance structures, escalation protocols, and approval workflows.
- Develop standardized change request templates, impact assessments, and tracking mechanisms.
- Maintain Change Control Logs and baseline documentation updates.
- Coordinate variance analysis and change reporting.
Communications & Training Enablement
- Design and execute change communication strategies aligned to executive and operational audiences.
- Develop training strategies, job aids, user guides, and instructional materials.
- Support delivery of workshops, orientation sessions, and readiness briefings.
- Coordinate feedback loops and adoption monitoring activities.
Business Readiness & Adoption
- Facilitate business readiness activities, including deployment planning, cutover readiness, and operational impact validation.
- Support user adoption activities such as surveys, focus groups, resistance management, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Align business change activities with technical delivery schedules.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage business leaders, functional owners, IT teams, and executives to ensure alignment and sponsorship.
- Support executive communications and change impact briefings.
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce change artifacts including impact assessments, communication plans, training plans, governance documentation, and executive summaries.
- Deliver monthly change status reporting and progress metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience delivering organizational change management for large system implementations or enterprise transformations.
- Demonstrated experience supporting ERP, SaaS, cloud, or enterprise integration programs.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills.
- Experience with structured change methodologies (Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter, or similar).
- Experience operating in regulated environments with governance controls.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting payroll, HR systems, financial systems, or large government modernization programs.
- Familiarity with Agile and waterfall delivery environments.
- Experience developing enterprise communications and training programs.
- PMP, Prosci, or equivalent certification.
