Position Overview:
The Systems Analyst II will support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) in executing architecture technical assessments for enterprise IT and modernization initiatives. This role focuses on assisting with the collection, review, and analysis of reference and solution architectures submitted by DoD Components to ensure alignment with the DoD Information Enterprise Architecture (IEA), applicable standards, and strategic priorities. The analyst will help coordinate working groups, prepare decision documentation, and support architecture reviews that inform DoD CIO governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the review and evaluation of reference and solution architectures submitted by DoD Components.
• Coordinate and track architecture working group meetings, technical reviews, and decision milestones.
• Document findings, recommendations, and gaps identified during architecture reviews.
• Assist in maintaining architecture review artifacts, meeting summaries, and task trackers.
• Analyze system architecture inputs for compliance with DoDAF, data standards, and CIO policies.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical and executive-level documentation, briefings, and reports.
• Help ensure architecture submissions align with enterprise goals, technical standards, and interoperability requirements.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and architects to assess and document potential risks, dependencies, and integration issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems analysis, architecture support, or enterprise IT planning.
• Working knowledge of DoDAF, system architecture modeling, and IT standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when reviewing technical documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal architecture review processes.
• Familiarity with modeling tools such as Cameo, Sparx EA, or equivalent.
• Understanding of the DoD Architecture Framework Meta Model (DM2) and architecture governance practices.
Clearance Required:
Active Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI)
