Duties and Responsibilities:
Counter/Inside Sales Duties:
- Greet customers professionally as they arrive, fostering long-term relationships with returning clients.
- Accurately fulfill orders and recommend complementary products or larger quantities when appropriate.
- Enter orders and tickets proficiently, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a professional and friendly appearance to create a positive experience for customers.
- Look for opportunities to expand the SSI product line with each customer, targeting relevant specialty contractors (e.g., concrete, waterproofing, roofing).
- Build expertise in construction industry products across various disciplines (concrete, masonry, glass, etc.).
Warehouse Associate Duties:
- Manage stock levels in the warehouse and ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Safely load and unload materials by hand, using a dolly or forklift when needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, branch offices, and external partners.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience fulfilling customer orders in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
- Experience in warehouse environments, including operating forklifts and loading/unloading materials.
- Strong safety record in a warehouse setting.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 60lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and self-motivation skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in computer systems, particularly for order entry and tracking.
This role requires a balance of sales ability, warehouse management, and customer service skills, along with a focus on safety and efficiency.
